Voting: How America is an Experiment in Self-Government

Today November 8th, 2022 is voting day in America. These are what is known as MID-TERM elections, meaning they come in the middle of the sitting president’s term of office. The rhetoric on both sides of the aisle has been pretty much as expected with claims ranging from mild to wild. What is not or should not be at stake in these or any election is the founding principles of this Republic. Every current and prior service member took an oath to defend the Constitution, (let me be clear, I am not advocating insurrection but education) and must do so. Everyone who calls themselves a “Christian” must vote based upon a Biblical Worldview or they are just pretending. The following is a reminder of our rich heritage.

Theodore Roosevelt stated on October 24, 1903:

“In no other place and at no other time has the experiment of government of the people, by the people, for the people, been tried on so vast a scale as here in our own country.”
