It’s been a while since I have been able to post more than once or twice a week, but these articles below caught my attention and deserve to be shared. In my opinion, they prove the ever-widening disparity between those with morals and those without in America today. I am not talking strictly about the “left” vs. “right,” because there are people on both sides of the aisle without morals. I mean those who believe it is perfectly legitimate to ignore the Constitution, bend it to their own cause, and disregard the law. Those who demand the 1st Amendment apply to their speech and equally demand that anyone who disagrees with the Amendment be ignored.
The first article should worry all Americans. I am a Boomer; my influences included the Greatest Generation, which instilled in me a grand sense of Citizenship and Patriotism. However, not everyone in my generation shared this, and the seeds of disaffection were soon planted in our education system. Over the last 20-30 years or so, that sense of pride in one’s country has steadily declined to the point where American citizens believe we deserved the terrorist attack of 9/11.
The second article would have our forefathers angrily shaking their fists from the grave. How is this acceptable public “free speech” when mentioning Jesus isn’t? Is America a “Christian” nation? I have long said no; the Bible is not our rule of law. Were we founded upon the principles of the Bible? Absolutely, and as such, while we show respect to others and their beliefs, we must be quick to point out their errors compared to Christianity.
In the final article, we see this has led to widespread voter apathy and distrust. The Barna poll clearly shows this, and it also shows that a reliable source of candidate information (what they really stand for) is the best way to get people to vote. By now, we have all seen the attack ads, the ads that say nothing about the candidate’s actual position on any given subject. Here in MS, a Senate candidate has an ad that says, “Children matter,” duh, yeah, but that’s it; it implies he is the only candidate who believes that, but he doesn’t say why.
All Americans, no matter their political affiliation, have a duty to vote. I recommend everyone educate themselves on what each candidate stands for. Don’t believe the attack ads; make an effort to learn on your own. Use resources like the iVoter Guide (link below); they are free and very helpful.
One last note. The author of today’s quote may seem an unusual choice; however, I think it fits quite well. It demonstrates how one person can go from a disillusioned anti-American spokesman to an outspoken patriot.
Poll: 1 In 5 Undergrads Says U.S. Deserved 9/11, Nearly Half Endorse Violence Against ‘Hate Speech’
By: Brianna Lyman October 09, 2026
Just weeks after the United States commemorated the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorists attacks, a new poll reveals more than one in five undergraduate students believe America deserved the attacks, while nearly half of all undergraduate students think physical violence is justified to stop so-called hate speech.
The Buckley Institute’s 2026 National Undergraduate Student Survey polled 803 American undergraduate students between September 5 and 14.
A shocking 22 percent agreed that America deserved 9/11, including 28 percent of liberal students. Notably, leftist streamer Hasan Piker — who campaigned with Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed and cozies up to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani — has said America deserved 9/11. Meanwhile, Aber Kawas, a Democratic Socialist of America member and nominee for the New York state Senate, has said that America brought on 9/11 because of capitalism, alleged white supremacy and racism, and alleged Islamophobia.
The poll also found that 45 percent of American college students believe physical violence can be justified to stop hate speech — among whom 54 percent of liberals agree compared to 30 percent of conservatives.
“Interestingly, 72% of those who agree that physical violence can be justified to stop hate speech also agree that hate speech is protected by the First Amendment,” The Buckley Institute found.
Shortly after Charlie Kirk was murdered on a Utah college campus for his free speech, a YouGov survey conducted from September 10-12 asked respondents whether they think “it is ever justified for citizens to resort to violence in order to achieve political goals?” Twenty-five percent of respondents who identified as “very liberal” said it can be justified, while 17% of self-identified liberals said the same. Just nine percent of people who identify as either conservative or very conservative said it was justified.
Meanwhile, a recent poll conducted by the Center for Strategic Politics found “Democrats want Trump out by (almost) any means necessary” — including assassination.
The Buckley Institute similarly found that support for criminalizing free — but offensive — speech has reached its highest levels in the three years that the survey has polled this question. Forty percent of college students agreed that “offensive speech should be subject to criminal prosecution.” Forty-seven percent of liberal students supported criminalizing offensive speech and was “the only ideological group among which a plurality agree with doing so,” according to the poll.
“This year’s survey demonstrates that censorious attitudes remain stubbornly high on America’s college campuses,” Buckley Institute Founder and Executive Director Lauren Noble said in a statement.
The study also found that college students have swung in favor of socialism. Forty-two percent of respondents would rather live under socialism compared to 28 percent who would prefer to live under capitalism. The Buckley Institute states that the 14 percentage point gap is the highest one in the five years the question has been asked. Notably, the same students who favor socialism over capitalism were more likely to support shouting down speakers they disagree with and violence to stop so-called hate speech, according to the study.
The same students who favored socialism were also more likely than students who favored capitalism to believe America deserved 9/11 and think offensive speech should be criminalized.
And, in America’s 250th birth year, only 65 percent of college students said they were proud to be American.
“Liberal students are the least proud ideological group at 62%, then moderates at 67%, and conservatives at 86%. Notably, men were 20 points more likely to agree that they are proud to be American than women,” the study found.
Hailing Satan At City Council Meetings
Iowa, smack dab in the middle of America. Home of the Field of Dreams. Iowa, a land of farms and small towns and pastoral beauty… of county fairs and farm shows… and churches and generations of upright, God-fearing citizens. Yet, in one small town, something remarkably grotesque happened last week. At a city council meeting at Ottumwa, a man rose to offer a prayer to Satan. He was permitted to do this according to a January 2026 council resolution about free speech. Consenting to this exhibition amounted to moral dereliction.

In case you still haven’t heard, we recently collected some fascinating data about what voters are thinking. AFA Action and iVoterGuide commissioned leading Christian researcher Dr. George Barna and his team at Arizona Christian University to conduct a nationwide survey. Among the findings:
- 1 in 5 likely voters think local races are “fixed.”
- 1 in 6 think their vote doesn’t matter.
Those numbers show how many people believe their votes are expendable. Another key finding from Dr. Barna’s research: While 85 percent of likely voters will cast ballots at the top of the ticket, only 55 percent say they will “definitely vote” for offices further down the ballot. This means voters are skipping the offices with the most direct impact on their lives, such as district attorneys, mayors, judges, and county commissioners, as well as city council and school board members. The deciding voters were in the booth; they just didn’t finish their ballots!
Voters confirm our mission
Voters go quiet down ballot not because of apathy, but because they want reliable information. Forty-six percent of those surveyed said lack of information is the most common reason they skip down-ballot races. With these statistics in mind, we’re asking: What would boost voter confidence and participation?
- 64 percent of those surveyed said a trusted, accurate, and unbiased source of candidate information would affect their likelihood of voting.
- 38 percent said a trusted voter guide is the most effective fix (more than polls, endorsements, pastors, or friends).
These results confirm our mission at iVoterGuide. They also reinforce our motivation to work towards November and beyond.
State voter guides are rolling out now!
iVoterGuide is uniquely positioned to fill the information gap voters are seeking. Right now, our online voter guides are being made available, state by state, throughout the nation. If you’re receiving this email, you’re on our list to be notified when your state becomes available. They cover federal and statewide races, state legislative races and ballot measures, as well as a growing number of down-ballot and school board races. You’ll find candidates’ track records, funding sources/connections, endorsements, and media. For candidates who filled out our questionnaire, you’ll find their own stated beliefs about issues of greatest concern to biblical voters. We provide everything you need to vote with confidence—all organized in one place.
I have tremendous hope in American voters. When armed with the information they need, I believe we will vote for a government more reflective of the Christian values responsible for our nation’s founding. Even though “likely voters” were surveyed, not just Christian voters, a vast majority support some common sense measures. According to the data, they want candidates who protect …
- minors from sexually explicit media online – 71 percent
- parental rights in children’s healthcare – 63 percent
- family rights of biological parents – 60 percent
Of those surveyed, 45 percent said they prefer judges who make rulings based on the Constitution’s original intent vs. the 20 percent who prefer judges making revisionist rulings. These voters also said they prefer judges with a biblical and conservative worldview vs. a liberal and secular worldview. That is why iVoterGuide has expanded our research to include state supreme court judges. This additional coverage helps voters identify which judges are following the original intent of the law and which ones are legislating from the bench. We not only look at the candidate’s judicial philosophy, but also for a biblical and conservative worldview.
These numbers show the impact a Christian worldview can make on government and the cultural landscape in America. Together, I’m confident we can install the most effective, biblically-minded majority this November.
Check to see: Is your Voter Guide ready to share with friends and family?
I can personally vouch for our diligent staff and volunteers who prayerfully research this information, make it available, and distribute it for every address nationwide (at no cost). As always, keep praying for God’s kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven this November.
For our future,
