Will America Reunify?

Calls for unity sure sound nice—if only they were sincere. Total submission to the left, however, is their desire. Dennis Prager explains in this episode.

GOP to Biden: Come to Your Census

Joe Biden hasn’t said where he stands on packing the courts, but we know one thing he’s willing to pack: Congress. While most people were focused on Biden’s big-ticket actions on Wednesday, things like rejoining the Paris Climate Accord and transgendering America’s bathrooms, the new president managed to slip one order through that could tilt the balance of the House and Electoral College for years. If you didn’t care about Census policy before, trust me. You care about it now.

What Is the Future of the Abortion Industry?

Twenty-One Reasons That the Handwriting Is on the Wall for the Abortion Industry

What Is the Future of the Abortion Industry?

For forty-eight years, the United States has enshrined the legal right to abortion. Millions of unborn lives are taken by abortion each year in America alone, and this practice appears only to be on the rise. However, the abortion industry is in serious trouble, and the single greatest reason for this is that there is a holy God who reigns in heaven.

Read today’s article from Dr. George Grant, pastor of Parish Presbyterian Church in Franklin, TN, to consider why time is running out for the industry driven by abortion and the culture that has far too long tolerated this evil

‘We Have to Stop Pretending Public Schools Aren’t Bad’

There’ve been plenty of issues over the last year and a half where Democrats have had to “bring Joe Biden along.” Whether it was the Hyde amendment, socialized medicine, or religious tests, the Democrat had to move several clicks to the Left to meet the party’s radical new standard. That was never the case with the LGBT agenda. In fact, you could make the argument that when it comes to things like transgenderism, it’s Biden doing the pulling. And his first day behind the Resolute Desk proved it.

1776 No Longer Relevant

Biden Tries to Make 1776 History

by Tony Perkins

In normal times, Victor Davis Hansen agreed, talking about America’s founding wouldn’t be controversial. But these are not normal times. And the fierce reaction to President Trump’s 1776 project proves it.

The following is from Larry P. Arnn, President, Hillsdale College, and chair the President’s 1776 Advisory Commission.

The President’s Advisory 1776 Commission cover

The Commission issued its 1776 Report this past Monday. The report calls for a return to the unifying principles stated in the Declaration of Independence. It quotes the greatest Americans, black and white, men and women, in devotion to these principles. It acknowledges the many ways we have fallen short of them even as it celebrates, following Abraham Lincoln, the influence for good that they exercised to the benefit of all. It acknowledges the way we fall short of them today and argues that it is only by returning to them that our current evils can be corrected. It calls for a civics education that fosters reverence for these principles, beginning with an accurate and honest teaching of American history. It is not a partisan document.

The Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, and other publications have made positive note of the report. The New York Times, the Washington Post, and other mainstream media organizations condemned the report, almost entirely for things it does not say. On Wednesday, the 1776 Commission was abolished by one of President Biden’s first executive orders.

Offering Hope in Reentry

The American criminal justice system holds almost 2.3 million people in 1,833state prisons, 110federal prisons, 1,772 juvenile correctional facilities, 3,134 local jails, 218immigration detention facilities, and 80 Indian Country jails as well as in military prisons, civil commitment centers, state psychiatric hospitals, and prisons in the U.S. territories. But people go to jail 10.6 million times each year. ¹

You all know I am not one who is a lenient forgive and forget kind of person when it comes to criminal justice.  Yet our current system seems to be geared towards a never-ending cycle of recidivism. There are expectations, mainly through the work of faith-based groups like Prison fellowship. Here is one story.

INSPIRING HOPE THROUGH TRANSFORMATION

Hope

Kathy Vosburg’s first time inside a prison was at a Prison Fellowship Academy® graduation in October 2006. While visiting the original Academy at the Carol S. Vance Unit, one man told her, “We have never, ever known in our entire lives the unconditional love like these mentors and these volunteers show us while we’re here at the Vance Unit.”

That memory stuck.

Today, Vosburg is the founder of CrossWalk Center in Houston, Texas. A local, faith-based parachurch organization founded in 2016, Crosswalk offers safe, sober transitional housing, reentry and spiritual counseling, and living-wage employment placement services.

In late 2019, Prison Fellowship began a formal partnership with CrossWalk Center

Would FDR Be Censored Today?

American Minute With Bill Federer

Would FDR Be Censored Today? Read his beliefs from a generation ago!

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882, in Hyde Park, New York.

He was baptized at St. James’ Episcopal Church in Hyde Park, New York.

Roosevelt was home-schooled till age 14 when he was put in an Episcopal boarding school in Groton, Massachusetts.

The school’s headmaster, Rev. Endicott Peabody, preached that it was a Christian’s responsibility to help the less fortunate.

Peabody later officiated Roosevelt’s wedding and visited him as President.

Roosevelt described Rev. Peabody as “the biggest influence in my life,” adding:

“As long as I live his influence will mean more to me than that of any other people next to my father and mother.”

FBI vetting Guard troops in DC amid fears of insider attack

About 25,000 members of the National Guard are streaming into Washington from across the country — at least two and a half times the number for previous inaugurals. And while the military routinely reviews service members for extremist connections, the FBI screening is in addition to any previous monitoring.

Expository Sermon from Luke 18:9-14 | In Whom Do You Trust?

Psalm 146

One of my friends Laszlo sent me this Psalm the other day with the third verse highlighted; Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation (help). (AMP).  The last dozen-plus years in our political climate and especially the past election cycle have been a clear reminder of this.

Maybe it is because I am old enough to remember the days of civility and reason in the houses of congress. When bi-partisanship, for “The Good of the People” and “In God We Trust” really meant something.

Some thought Obama was the coming savior and his legacy was that of failure after scandal. President Trump’s unpolitical style and lack of decorum caused both sides of the aisle to dislike him.  Both men of great power and yet in them both was found no hope or lasting help. Joe Bidden will be the same or worse.

The psalmist makes it clear that the only true help, the only one we can truly trust in count on day after day is God, v.5; How blessed and graciously favored is he whose help is the God of Jacob (Israel), Whose hope is in the Lord his God,

Today’s question is simple, have you surrender to the call of the Holy Spirit? Have you placed your trust in the one and only who will never disappoint?  The time is now and Christ is waiting.

Short Prayers For Trusting God
