History was made this year as President Trump became the first sitting President to speak at the annual March for Life held Friday, January 24, 2020 in Washington, D.C. Watching this historic event were students from Mississippi College and Ole Miss. “PLM is proud to have helped underwrite the trip for these future leaders of the ‘pro-life generation’,” stated PLM vice-president Dana Chisholm. “We have hope that these young people will bring an end to legalized abortion in our lifetime.” For a you tube video of President Trump’s address, go to LifeSiteNews.

Candlelight Vigils Across MS
Mark 47th Anniversary of Roe
That pro-life sentiment pervades the entire state was evident this month as seven communities across Mississippi organized vigils to mourn the more than 50 million babies killed in the United States since the infamous Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that “legalized” abortion.
“In the 47 years since Roe, our pro-life citizens have worked with unrelenting determination to make abortion not only illegal, but unthinkable,” stated PLM president Laura Duran. “The proliferation of these pro-life events across Mississippi is very heartening.”
Vigils and memorial services were held in the following cities:
Bay St. Louis
Spring Banquet & Silent Auction
PLM has engaged Elizabeth Johnston (aka “The Activist Mommy”) to be the keynote speaker at our upcoming Spring Banquet. Elizabeth is a popular blogger who educates and inspires the public on the burning social and moral issues of the day that impact the family.
Elizabeth’s pro-life book, “Not On My Watch”, was released in February of 2019. A signed copy of her book will be available for bids at our silent auction.
Anyone wishing to donate items to the silent auction should contact the PLM office.
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.”
– Psalm 127:3 NKJV
We are also in need of Underwriters for the Banquet. All underwriters receive up to two tables at the banquet and recognition in the banquet program. Gold and Platinum level underwriters will receive recognition in our banquet ads as well.
Please contact the PLM office if you would like to be an underwriter.
PLM Sends Pro-Life Devotional Book to Political Leaders
In its ongoing efforts to bring an end to legalized abortion, PLM has sent copies of Les Young’s 2019 inspirational book, “Devoted to Life: A 365 Day Devotional to Restore America’s Greatness” to 13 of our political leaders. The description of the book on Amazon reads in part: “This book will engage the passive and energize the active in the preservation and protection of the first unalienable right from our Creator… Together we can change lives, hearts, and even laws.”
The Mississippi political leaders who were sent this book include:
Our four US Representatives
Our two US Senators
Secretary of State
Out going Governor Bryant
In addition, a copy was sent to President Donald Trump.
PLM received a very gracious thank you note from President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
