 Thursday, Sept. 11, marks the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Patriot Day serves as a remembrance of the lives lost on that September morning.

By a joint resolution approved Dec. 18, 2001, (Public Law 107-89), Sept. 11 has been designated as Patriot Day, which also directs American flags to be lowered to half-staff from dawn to dusk on Sept. 11.

Unless you just forgo any news, I can pretty much be assured you have heard that the conservative founder of Turning Point, USA, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated yesterday.
