Our quotes for today emphasize the duty of every Christian. We are to read our Bibles daily so we may grow spiritually, be refreshed, and receive the guidance we need for our Christian walk.
I often hear folks say, ‘My Bible is my only source for my Christian walk, I need no other.’ While technically true, one could continue to serve Christ with only a Bible and the Holy Spirit to guide them, they would be what Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 3:2 and Hebrews 5:12. Paul calls them immature Christians. Feeding upon milk instead of the real meat of God’s Holy Word.
Today in the hightech world we live in there is little to no excuse for Christians not to seek, read, and study Theological books that are rock solid in the Faith. Both the authors of today’s quotes entires catologes of works can be found online. The sheer number of sermons and other rich materials fro C.H. Spurgeon alone is amazing. Biblical concordenances, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and so much more are available to help un in our study of scripture.
Of course I must add a ⚠️if you are looking for quaility references for the first time, ask your pastor. As much rock solid volumes out there there is an equal or exceeding number of junk published in the last 40-50 years.
Lastly I am conviced it is the duty of citizens, especially of every Christian to be well read, updated on the happenings of the world around them. I have included some of my favorite Christan news sources.
