A Puritan Catechism 34. QUESTION: What is sanctification?
ANSWER: Sanctification is the work of God’s Spirit (2 Thessalonians 2:13), whereby we are renewed in the whole man after the image of God (Ephesians 4:24), and are enabled more and more to die to sin and live to righteousness (Romans 6:11).
In keeping with the past two days’ devotionals from Romans 6, I thought it appropriate to read a sermon from the Prince of Preachers on the subject of Dead to Christ, Yet Alive.
