In the past few months, I have noted an increasing number of anti-Christian social media posts. The common theme seems to be that our “faith” in God of the Bible is false because no one can see God, John 1:18 and 1 John 4:12 are often quoted.
My response is simple: if y’all want to quote some scripture, here goes; 2 Corinthians 5:7 and Hebrews 11:1. For all of us born after 33 A.D. the foundation of our Christian faith is not built upon the tangible but the intangible. I/We believe that which was declared by those whom the Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ did reveal Himself to.
For those who demand proof, I suspect that no matter if God chose to reveal Himself to them (Exodus 33:12-23), they would demand miracles and such as further proof.
A Proof for God’s Existence

Can God be Proven?
Can God be proven to exist?¹ The Bible says God is “upholding all things by the word of his power” (Heb. 1:3) and “in Him we live, and move, and have our being.” (Acts 17:28) If this be true, as Christians believe, then it should be for all created things that their existence and continuance has no adequate or sufficient explanation or grounding in the things themselves, that is, in their own nature, but only because God wills them to exist…

The idea that it is false to believe in God because “no one can see Him” is just plain stupid.
No one has ever seen an atom and yet most people believe in the existence of atoms.
It is perfectly rational to believe that atoms exist but so is also the belief in God’s existence.

One of the best examples I have ever heard of this, was a 60 Minute (I may have that wrong) broadcast of the Lost Boys of the Sudan. In it they showed a group of these boys being taken through the Boeing Aircraft production plant in Seattle. One of the boys asked how much wiring went into the plane. The workmen told him 2500 miles. The young man’s response was, only God could give man the mind capable of this.
This incident was an example of the fulfillment of Romans 1:19 (AMP) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
What makes sense in people who refuse to believe is found in the Bible, John 3:19 (AMP) This is the judgment [that is, the cause for indictment, the test by which people are judged, the basis for the sentence]: the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.
