As this article points out, praying for Russia’s defeat is fine, even praying those tough Psalms that invoke God’s wrath. But it is not the end-all.

Right in the middle of the Bible are passages that many find uncomfortable. The imprecatory psalms are among the hymns that were sung by the people of God, but which violate current cultural conceptions of Christian “niceness” or a gentle Jesus.
