Devotional Thought for Today – 04/16/2022

The question of who crucified Jesus has been debated for centuries and continues today. The Jews demanded His death but the Romans carried out His execution. The better Theological or Biblical question is who is responsible for Jesus’s crucifixion.

Romans 3:21-26, Romans 5:6-8, 1 Corinthians 15:3, 1 Peter 2:24-25, 1 Peter 3:18

The above scripture a just a few of many that should settle the question of who is responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus. It is you, I, and every other human on this planet. As Paul under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit said in Romans 3:23, “All have sinned.”

A right understanding that the only reconciliation between a righteous God and a sinful man comes via the perfect unblemished sacrifice of the Lamb of God, Jesus, is the basic tenant of Christianity. Here are two helps in that understanding:
