COMMENT/COMNTARY
The author makes some great points about how liberalism has invaded the ranks of young women in recent years. I am convinced, and he seems to imply this is in large part due to the enormous gains of liberalization within the ranks of Evangelical churches. The following link leads to a September 2025 article by Barba Research titled “Only two-thirds of Christians believe everyone has sinned.” This is a product of the liberalization of the church and society as a whole.
liberalism (theological). Movement in Protestant theology since the nineteenth century that is dominated by the goal of modifying Christianity so as to make it consistent with modern culture and science. Liberalism rejects the traditional view of Scripture as an authoritative propositional revelation from God in favor of a view that sees revelation as a record of the evolving religious experiences of humankind. It sees Jesus more as ethical teacher and model rather than as divine atoner and redeemer.
C. Stephen Evans, Pocket Dictionary of Apologetics & Philosophy of Religion (Downers Grove, IL: InterVarsity Press, 2002), 68–69.
Radicalism – In religious contexts, it refers to movements or individuals advocating extreme changes in doctrine or practice, often challenging established religious authorities or traditions. – LOGOS AI
Radicalism always arises from a conscious or unconscious hatred of what exists. Christian radicalism, whether it would flee the world or improve it, comes from the hatred of creation. The radical cannot forgive God for having created what is. – Dietrich Bonhoeffer, DBW 6
Less we think liberalism is something new in America, here is a quote from 1923, over a hundred yars ago that is true today and germain to this article.
According to Christian belief, man exists for the sake of God; according to the liberal church, in practice if not in theory, God exists for the sake of man. – J. Gresham Machen Christianity and Liberalism (1923)
Gresham says mans striving for liberalism in the church is brought about by his desire for self. Bonhoeffer would agree, mankind blames God for what is and has to fight for change.
DEVOTION/STUDY

We Need to Talk About the Radicalization of Young Women

When evangelicals talk about “radicalization,” the conversation usually runs in one direction: young men. However, a more consequential reality has been quietly taking shape in both our society and within the church. While young men are drifting to the right or holding steady, young women are racing leftward at an unprecedented pace. The result is a widening gulf not only in politics but in basic moral reasoning. If we care about the future of our society and the health of the church, we need to talk about the radicalization of young women…
