Folks have a lot of stuff to be upset about on any given day. The world seems to have lost all sense of ethics and morality. The warning that Isaiah gave in 5:20 (AMP); Woe (judgment is coming) to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! is all around us.
Yet as Born Again believers, we have a hope, no a promise, that all these earthly woes are nothing compared to the eternal glories of heaven. What matters as C.S. Lewis said above is where our priorities lay. This promise is for all who 19 “Do not store up for yourselves [material] treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal; 21 for where your treasure is, there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)
For them, God’s Word says that: the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
A New Creation
17 “For I will create new heavens and a new earth;
the past events will not be remembered or come to mind.
18 Then be glad and rejoice forever
in what I am creating;
for I will create Jerusalem to be a joy
and its people to be a delight.
19 I will rejoice in Jerusalem
and be glad in my people.
The sound of weeping and crying
will no longer be heard in her.
Isaiah 65:17-19 CSB
