I used to think that anyone using the abbreviation Xmas was just about being blasphemous. Yet a little research into the CONTEXT and the HISTORY of its use changed my opinion. I still think it is widely misused by the public at large but can be used sparingly and properly referring to Christ-centered Christmas.
