
Today most pulpits and evangelicals will use the term “unconditional” to describe God’s Love. However, there is no correlating word in the new or old testaments. How can God have “unconditional love” and yet, hate sin and sinners?
Looking at this from the Puritan’s perspective, they almost exclusively used the term “unspeakable” (see 2 Cor 9:15 below) in describing God’s Love. This makes sense, as human words and even emotions fail to fully grasp the vastness and grandeur of His Love.

Romans 8:35 – Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
