Why the Masked and the Unmasked Have Disdain for Each Other

I/we at FSM have no issue with folks who want to wear masks in public, especially those who have co-morbidity health issues. I do however take issue with the so-called mask monitors, calling out those of us who chose not to wear a mask and are fully vaccinated. As I noted back in a Dec 17th post, this past week alone I saw a neighbor sitting out on their front porch alone masked up. The other day I was at a stop light next to a driver who was alone, double masked and wearing a face shield. This is not NORMAL behavior it is self-imposed bondage to fear. Or more recently I witnessed a woman who was obviously the head of the local UMP, Uncivilized Mask Patrol, go unhinged on a young (mid 20’s maybe) gentleman for not wearing a mask. She of course had the proper and effective (N95 NOT!) glitter mask with the appropriate woke slogan.

That more than half of our country willingly obeys completely irrational orders raises the question: What irrational orders from the state would they not obey?

Among the many unbridgeable divides between Americans is a completely antithetical view of mask-wearing. On one side are those who wear masks almost everywhere outside their homes and who demand that others do so, including young children in class and on outdoor playgrounds, and two-year-olds on airplanes.
