If We Are Called ~

CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

If we are called,
to like Jesus walk
then why doesn’t it . . .
reflect in our daily talk?

If God’s Spirit,
dwells within us
then why don’t we . . .
His guidance trust?

If Christ is our example,
on how we’re to live
then why aren’t we . . .
more willing to forgive?

If we like Jesus,
are to resemble
then why aren’t we . . .
more meek and gentle?

If we are called,
in Jesus to abide
there would be fruit . . .
growing daily inside!

John 15:4

Abide in me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear
fruit of itself, except it abide
in the vine; no more can ye,
except ye abide in me.

Romans 8:9

But ye are not in the flesh,
but in the Spirit, if so be that
the Spirit of God dwell in you.
