Men’s and Women’s Roles

John MacArthur on Men’s and Women’s Roles

Why should the modern church subscribe to the outdated roles for men and women prescribed in Scripture? Shouldn’t the culture of the church closely mirror the culture of the world? Won’t excluding women from leadership turn off men and women who need to be reached with the gospel?

John MacArthur was recently in studio, and we asked him some of those very questions. His answers make it clear why this is such an important issue, and why the church cannot afford to follow the world’s lead.

Our preferences and opinions do not determine which parts of the Bible we submit to, and which we ignore. Instead, those preferences and opinions must be subject to Scripture and its authority.
