On Feb. 15, 2021, Stand in the Gap Today Hosts Keith Wiebe and Sam Rohrer discussed the purpose, power, and responsibility of the pulpit at this defining hour in our nation’s history. Guests were Pastor Joe Green with the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Pennsylvania, and Reverend Paul Blair with Fairview Baptist Church in Oklahoma.
What is the importance of the pulpit in our society?
Why don’t many Pastors address current events from the pulpit?
Is the term “Christian” becoming more distinctive in our culture?
How is the pulpit best used to preach and teach the whole counsel of God?
On Feb. 5, 2021, Stand in the Gap Today hosts Sam Rohrer and Dr. Gary Dull interviewed Mat Staver, Senior Pastor, Attorney, Founder, and Chairman of Liberty Counsel. They discussed the legality of mask mandates and the COVID vaccine issues.
•Are mandated vaccinations lawful, Constitutional, or moral?
•Does signing the vaccination consent form cover you for any liability claims should you have an adverse reaction?
•Unlawful mandates and the law. Why is the Executive Branch of government allowed to establish masks, lockdown, vaccines, and other mandates if they’re not lawful?
We can and should as "Christians" have righteous indignation or anger or hatred towards the actions of those appointed over us by God when those actions go against God's Holy Word. Yet we are commanded to be obedient (unless that obedience violates God's law) and to PRAY for them. I would suggest the current administration needs an abundance of PRAYER.
Seven Prayers to Pray for our National Leaders
How should we pray at a time like this? This is the question many are asking as believers and Americans face a new administration seemingly committed to erasing our Christian heritage and God-given freedoms. Disappointment, frustration, and even apathy are tempting fallbacks when so much is at stake and so little is being done by our elected leaders and even our spiritual leaders.
But God’s Word is never without answers. We’ve been given ALL we need for life and godliness.
Below are seven prayers to pray for national leaders who’ve set themselves up against God and His ways. These prayers were mentioned on the Stand in the Gap Today daily program by Evangelist Dave Kistler on January 25, 2021. To listen to the program, please clickHERE.
Pray for the conversion of our national leaders and that they live lives of sincere commitment to Christ. (I Timothy 2:4)
Pray that our leaders facilitate our ability to live peaceable lives, not troubled ones. (I Timothy 2:1-2)
Pray that our leaders recognize God’s ultimate authority and that they are subservient to Him. (Psalm 22:8)
Pray that God will confound evil leaders’ plans and turn their evil devices into foolishness. (2 Samuel 15:31)
Pray that the unified attempts of wicked leaders to thwart God’s ways will be broken up as were those at the Tower of Babel. (Genesis 11:7)
Pray that evil leaders lose their platforms and avenues of dispersing an anti-God message and agenda. (Proverbs 21:30)
Pray that evil leaders have their plans turned back on them, as did Haman in the book of Esther. (Esther 7 and Proverbs 28:10)
On January 27, 2021, Stand in the Gap Todayhosts Sam Rohrer and Dr. Gary Dull interviewed Scott Klusendorf, Founder and President of theLife Training Institute. How is the Biden administration pushing abortion policies at home and abroad? How does secularism devalue life? Where do Millennials and Gen. Z stand on pro-life issues? These questions are answered and more on this program.
•How are the younger generations viewing life, truth, right and wrong?
•Why does a nation’s culture, it’s degree of civil freedom, it’s level of true justice hinge on how that nation views the matter of life?
•Why establishing the value of life is so important to today’s culture.
•What are some of the most commonly asked questions by younger generations about life and the value of life?
With the growing DEMAND for mandatory vaccination, this article is very timely in evaluating risks for taking the vaccine.
The COVID-19 Vaccine:
A Matter of Life
American Pastors Network President Sam Rohrer Addresses Critical Vaccine-Related Health and Ethical Concerns
One of the top questions every American is asking about the COVID-19 pandemic is, “Should I take the vaccine?” This decision is vital, largely because it concerns the matter of life. A look at the Pfizer Healthcare Fact Sheet lists certain categories of Americans who should not take the vaccine. One of the listed groups include women who “are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.”
“This would exclude almost every woman of childbearing age from the vaccine, or half of the American population (and world population) under approximately 50 years old,”the Honorable Sam Rohrer, president of the American Pastors Network(www.AmericanPastorsNetwork.net), said. “There is no way the proposed 80-percent or more of Americans could receive the vaccine based on this warning.
Many fact-checking websites have attempted to debunk the claim that the vaccine causes female sterility. But why else would women who are pregnant or may one day desire to become pregnant be excluded? The Pfizer-BioNTech answer is that: “The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine has not undergone the same type of review as an FDA-approved or cleared product. FDA may issue an EUA (Emergency Use Authorization) when certain criteria are met, which includes that there are no adequate, approved, available alternatives. In addition, the FDA decision is based on the totality of scientific evidence available showing that the product may be effective to prevent COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic and that the known and potential benefits of the product outweigh the known and potential risks of the product. All of these criteria must be met to allow for the product to be used in the treatment of patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
“In other words, no one really knows what will happen, Rohrer stated. “The details provided in Pfizer’s Fact Sheet for Healthcare Providers Administering Vaccine specifically notes, ‘Available data on Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine administered to pregnant women are insufficient to inform vaccine-associated risks in pregnancy.’ Legally, the research needed to make safety determinations regarding pregnancy risks has not yet been conducted.”
Critical Race Theory- How Is It Reshaping America?
On January 5, 2021, Stand in the Gap Today hosts Joe Greend and Sam Rohrer interviewed Dr. Shelby Steele on the topic of Critical Race Theory. Dr. Steele is an African-American conservative author, columnist documentary filmmaker, and a Robert J. and Marion E. Oster Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institute. He specializes in the study of race relations, multiculturalism, and affirmative action. Recently, Dr. Steele released a new documentary titled, “What Killed Michael Brown”.
1) What was the purpose for producing the new documentary, “What Killed Michael Brown”?
2) How does white guilt exploitation of black pain leaves black people dependent on American liberalism?
3) What is Critical Race Theory and what are its origins?
I have L O N G said that America is NOT a Christian nation, in that alone I and the left can usually agree. We quickly depart in matters when they as this article points out desire to wipe out all traces of the “religious” principles (Judeo-Christian) upon which this nation was clearly founded. Their (false) claim is that because the Constitution, unlike the Declaration of Independence, does not directly mention God the founders demanded a Secular Government. It is nothing more than a revisionist vision of history. They fail to take into account all the other documents and letters that went into writing the Constitution and all that happened AFTER it became law.
