According to Paul Bryan, the author of Who is this God?, “A genuine Christian cannot become apostate. Those who apostatize demonstrate that they were never genuine Christians.” As Scripture says, “they went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us” (1 John 2:19). It is obvious that not everyone who thinks they are Christians is truly born-again follower of Christ.
