Before I knew the gospel I gathered up a heterogeneous mass of all kinds of knowledge from here, there, and everywhere: a bit of chemistry, a bit of botany, a bit of astronomy, and a bit of this, that, and the other. I put them altogether, in one great confused chaos.

If we take a closer look at the three definitions above we see the common theme of dark despair running through them. That is what many in the world want us to believe about God. Some will even agree that an intelligent being created the universe, but has long since abandoned mankind.
Every TRUE CHRISTAIN, should be at odds with these lines of reasoning, simply because they are not reasonable when compared to Holy Scripture. In every case, Scripture claims and proves YHWH is the sole creator of the universe and to this day takes an active and sovereign role in its activities. God has not abandoned His peoples nor is He the author of chaos.
