Prayer Series XLVI
When we started this series back on Jan 1st, the thought was it would run maybe a few weeks and in doing so would encourage myself and others to be more active in our prayer lives. As usual, a few weeks have turned into multiple months and we are still going.
Today I am sharing a quote that a friend (thanks Laz) sent me. It got me to thinking, that communion/fellowship with God is the end goal of every “Christian”
Question 1: What is the chief and highest end of man?
Answer 1: Man’s chief and highest end is to glorify God,[1] and fully to enjoy him forever.[2]
1. Rom. 11:36; I Cor. 10:31
2. Psa. 73:24-28
and we do that through prayer
Q178: What is prayer?
A178: Prayer is an offering up of our desires unto God,[1] in the name of Christ,[2] by the help of his Spirit;[3] with confession of our sins,[4] and thankful acknowledgment of his mercies.[5]
1. Psa. 62:8
2. John 16:23
3. Rom. 8:26
4. Psa. 32:5-6; Dan. 9:4
5. Phil. 4:6

Are the things in our worldly lives more important than the God of eternity?
