Where have you set your hope today on this life? Or the one promised in Christ eternal?
Peter is asking the question everyone must answer on a DAILY basis, even if you are a born again believer you will battle the forces of Satan that will do all to distract you from and tear you from your true hope. Therefore we must gird up the loins of our mind, in the ESV it reads preparing your minds for action each morning praying for God’s grace to live holy, acceptable and to keep us from all evil.
1 Peter 1:13 in the AMP Version explain it better, and Paul reminds us how miserable we are if our hope is only here in this life 1 Corinthians 15:19
