For those who have decided not to make a New Year’s resolution (I am in agreement) here is something I think we can all agree on for the coming year. – Mike

Psalm 141:3

Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth;
Keep watch over the door of my lips. (NKJV) 

Pon guarda a mi boca, oh Jehová;
Guarda la puerta de mis labios. (RVR 1960)

We have all heard the expressions like;  loose lips sink ships, beating ones gums to death, flapping ones lips, or talking ones head off.  Some folks can talk and talk and talk without saying a whole lot.

Others have an excuse for everything; talking out both sides of their mouth, talk the talk but can’t walk the walk, they do not know “the maximum effective range of an excuse is zero meters.”

The bible is full of verses that remind us that the tongue must be tamed for out of the same mouth comes blessings and curses James 3:10 so ask God to “set a guard”  from cursing today.
