Texas judge denies US citizen due process rights; sends her before Islamic Sharia tribunal instead

Blaze Media

A judge in Texas earlier this year effectively denied a U.S. citizen her constitutionally protected due process rights, choosing instead to order her to appear before an Islamic tribunal where her testimony is considered inferior. And when her lawyers sounded the alarm — the judge doubled down…

Colson Center for Christian Worldview – Kids and Young Adults

BP Email Header-01

In various forms and in various expressions, the perpetual myth repeated in each chapter of the sexual revolution (as each new extreme becomes a norm in our culture) is this phraseThe kids will be fine. It all started with a no-fault divorce. That first version of the kids will be fine went something like this: “Kids will be better off with happy parents that aren’t married than with unhappy parents that stay married.”

…Writing at Bloomberg, Justin Fox reports that while the rest of the population has experienced increased health and life expectancies, younger adults — who are historically among the healthiest citizens — are dying at about the same rate they did in 1953, a time when medicine and health care weren’t nearly as advanced as today…

Kids, Covid, and Preparing for Storms

BP Email Header-01

Though it will be a while before we learn the full impact of this past year on children, The American Academy of Pediatrics recently warned that the mental health of younger Americans is suffering. Suicidal ideation and suicidal attempts are on the rise, as are childhood diagnoses of eating disorders and other obsessive-compulsive behaviors.

On Tuesday, just one month after Lubbock, Texas became the state’s largest sanctuary city for the unborn (and the only sanctuary city for the unborn with an active abortion clinic), Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas agreed to stop performing abortions within the city limits. This announcement came after a federal district judge dismissed Planned Parenthood’s lawsuit citing lack of standing.

I asked my wife repeatedly over the last week if she was certain she wanted me to go and she repeatedly said yes, this is what you are called to do. My friends that is a woman who; fears the Lord [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be praised (AMP). I still have a hard time figuring out how I have been so blessed.

So, over the next 17 days, I will likely not be posting much of anything my itinerary is pretty full. I leave here (Abilene) for Santa Teresa, NM, then Arizona City, AZ, to Mesa AZ, to Ontario, CA then the Tour begins on May 19th

As always we covet your prayers for safe travels.

Honoring the Biblical Call of Motherhood
A Tribute to Ruth Piper

Resource by John Piper Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:10–17    Topic: Wives & Mothers

2 Timothy 3:10-17

You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra – which persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me. Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

My aim in this sermon is to honor motherhood and in this way glorify Jesus Christ who designed it, created it, and blessed it by his incarnation in Mary’s womb and by his words from the cross to John, in one of the most beautiful acts of final care for Mary: “[John], Behold your mother” (John 19:27)…

Is Christian Cohabitation the New Norm?

BreakPoint Daily

Recently, researchers at State University of New York determined that descendants of immigrants to the United States typically lost the ability to speak their mother tongue by the third generation. Something similar, but far more serious, seems to be happening with Christians in an increasingly post-Christian culture. Each successive generation is losing the understanding of, not to mention the will to live by, Christian sexual morality…
