Many folks today get very defensive (or offensive) whenever someone mentions theology with one of the following attached; Calvinism, Covenant, Luther, or Reformed. Yet had the priestly honorable Luther not posted his Ninety-five Theses on the door of the Wittenberg Church on October 31, 1517, Christianity as we know it today would be much different.
It is important to note that Luther’s intent was to “reform” the Catholic Church, to have it examine itself and its policies against Biblical truths. For this, he was banished but we gained the five solas of the Protestant Reformation.
