I just returned from visiting Richard Brown. Some of you ay remember prayer requests and posts on our previous web site about Richard. He had been coming to our church for a few years and two years ago this coming March underwent heart surgery to correct a life long issue. There were serious complications (including reduced motor and vocal skills) and Richard has been basically bed ridden in a hospital ever since.
Richie loves to sing especially Christmas carols. So our church decided to rent a couple of vans and about 30 folks from age 2 to us gray-haired folks all visited Richie in his care facility.
What a joy to see the smile on his face as we sang. He sang and then applauded every tune. I can not begin to tell you how blessed I have been the past 6+ years to be part of the Pioneer Valley Baptist Chapel family. Tonight the blessing was manifold. It reminded me just how God’s grace has watched over me. How easily I could be where Richie is and humbled me to think if I to would show the courage and faith he does.
Please keep Richie in your prayers.
