Flesh-Focused Lives ~

Flesh-focused eyes,
see what’s forbidden
they forget just why
they’ve been forgiven.

They lust after things,
temporal and worldly
becoming friends with
the sinful and ungodly.

Flesh-focused hearts,
have a greedy appetite
even though they once
followed the Light.

Now they only desire,
that which will kill
for they’ve allowed satan
their minds to steal.

Flesh-focused lives,
need to resist . . .
for satan will devour
if they persist!

But of the tree of the knowledge
of good and evil, thou shalt not
eat of it: for in the day that thou
eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Be sober, be vigilant;

the devil, as a roaring lion,
