“If You Don’t Affirm Me, You Don’t Love Me”

“You’re on the wrong side of history”

“Why can’t you let them be ‘their true selves’?”

“That’s just your truth, not mine.”

And, perhaps most painful, especially when it comes from a friend of family member:

“If you love me, you’d accept me for who I am.”
