There was a time when disagreeing parties (political, religious, etc.) could hold discussions, debates and such with civility and moral decorum. I fear that day is forever gone.
Can we agree,
to disagree . . .
can we concur
our differences
to defer.
For we’ll never see,
eye to eye . . .
for my love
for Jesus
I’ll not deny.
Can we agree,
not to offend . . .
can we decide
our rifts
to suspend.
For we’ll never see,
things the same . . .
for my faith
is in Jesus
His peace my aim.
Can we agree,
to disagree . . .
so we can
from bitterness
be set free!
