I am blessed,
beyond measure
for God’s counsel
I do treasure.

I shun the world,
tolerate not its way
my heart it cannot
persuade or sway.

I keep no company,
with the ungodly
their sinfulness
I do not embody.

I delight in the truth,
I study and read
I trust God for every
single thing I need.

I am blessed,
beyond measurement
for I do not embrace . . .
the world’s temperament!
