Lakeshore Update week 3

This has been a long but productive week.

First on Monday night Pastor Don and I were treated to a delicious meal by Mrs. Juanita Shiyou. There was food a plenty and great company too.

As you can see by the photo below I started tearing down the old rotted decking between the Quonset huts.

Demo begins on deck around quonset huts

It is very labor intensive and tedious. In an effort to save money each board that is deemed at all usable is pulled, the nails and screws removed and them stacked for future use. The rotted wood is removed nails/screws bent over and hauled to near the fire pit.

Eventually there will be a small landing and stairs at each entry. Two completed and near 55 sq. feet to demo and 2 more to build.

New stairs

Yesterday Sunday Nov 4th I spent the Sabbath with good friends at First Baptist Church, Clinton LA. Thanks to Mitch, Sheri, Dr. Malone, Will, Roger and so many others for making me feel right at home. It was a privilege to share in the Lord’s Supper with ya’ll.

I have more pictures of the trip posted on my Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/directorfsm

We continue to covet your prayers.

In HIS Service

Mike
