I think we can passionately yet also in a manner that does not promote hatred speak out (verbal or written) against things like Pride Month, Abortion, etc. The key is to always speak for the Gospel, letting folks know it is not I but the infallible Word of God that denounce these things.

I considered writing a post on Pride Month, but I prefer writing about what I am for than what I am against. Then I found this article by Everett Piper, In praise of humble pie. I decided he had argued for something instead of against something.

On June 1, 2019, Bishop Thomas Tobin of Providence, Rhode Island, tweeted a reminder to Catholics in his diocese that they should not support this month’s “Pride Month.” “These events,” said the bishop, “promote a culture and encourage activities that are contrary to Catholic faith and morals and especially harmful to children.”
To this we should all be eager to shout, “Amen, Bishop! Amen!”
